How we collect, use, and protect your information.
Who this applies to
This policy explains how Spout Technologies (Pty) Ltd, trading as The Business Launch Kit ("we", "us", "our"), handles personal information under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). It covers visitors to businesslaunchkit.co.za, and clients using our onboarding, checkout, and client workspace.
Information we collect
We collect the information you give us directly, including:
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number.
- Business details — business name and information needed to build your site or, where you use our CIPC registration service, to register your company.
- Onboarding content — copy, images, and preferences you submit for your site build.
- Service requests you submit through your client workspace (briefs, approvals, support messages).
Payment information
We do not collect or store your card details. All payments are processed directly by PayFast; for recurring instalments and Mission Support subscriptions, PayFast issues us a payment token that lets us charge your saved card without us ever seeing or holding the card number itself.
How we use your information
We use your information to build and deliver your website, process payments, provide Mission Support services you've activated, communicate with you about your project or account, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Where you use our company registration service, we share the information necessary to submit your registration with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).
Where your information is stored
Your information is stored using Firebase and Google Cloud infrastructure. We don't currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
Your rights
Under POPIA, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how it's processed. Email hello@businesslaunchkit.co.zaand we'll respond as soon as we can.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We may update this policy as our services evolve. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
